adventura Europa
So, I need to write this down before I forget, but it is 5 am, so please forgive me for the grammatical/spelling errors and I am about to make.
This afternoon, we went to Zurich to do the touristy things like the museum of design [which was amazing] & people watch will drinking starbucks by a fountain. We were a little lost in the city being two lowly americans, but we saw some cool things. we are excited to return to Zurich with a true swiss to see the real Zurich.
We returned to the spital, assuming it would be another night in for the Americans, but a lovely miss Carolina invited us to a club/concert/event on facebook [we were unsure was it was due to the swiss german-y of it] but we decided to meet up at Bourbaki with some other art students before we ventured off. We got there to find Andy working at the bar and Johnny and Helen walking in. It was very nice to be able to talk to them in a chill environment. Johnny likes the same kind of weird/twisted movies that I do and I told him about Black Swan - to which he supplied us with a set of Black Swan movie poster postcards - Eric you will be receiving one asap. It was amazing, I was tickled pink.
Once Andy got off work we went to a barn party - yes a BARN party in the middle of Swizterland. It was a barn turned dance club for the 16-20 somethings of the city. There we saw other students from the school. && it was 80’s night. Imagine that, coming all the way to Europe to dance to Bon Jovi and Madonna in a barn. But it was absolutely amazing. Next we went to a techno club called Bar 57 I believe, that was terrifying and sure european. A scary man hit on Lisa so off we went to the next club, which was on farm land… in an old prison. Holy cow. && it was Baltic music, which I had never heard of, but oh it was amazing. Picture Regge mixed with Radiohead. I loved it, but it was nearing 4:30am so it was time to run home to the Spital.
But this was definitely the best night yet of our stay. Tomorrow we will visit the ancient Lion Monument of Luzern. Till then/
